Late fall evening in upper Michigan, 2023

Peak fall color is long gone up here, most of the brilliant orange and scarlet maples having lost their leaves, but the birches and popple stayed green much longer, and are just now turning yellow, rewarding us with a sort of second autumn. It’s wonderful to have such a nice extension of my favorite season. All pictures iPhone12 Pro, highway picture had bug splats on the windshield removed, last picture is Castle Rock in St. Ignace.
